These popular instruction camps with drills and scrimmaging return for 2008. We accept ages 10 & up as resident campers and all ages as commuter campers.

Our Nifty 60 camps for the highly skilled player. These camps are limited to returning high school varsity players who can already execute skills at speed under pressure. These camps are for the highly motivated and experienced lacrosse player.

College Coaches

We hire NCAA and WDIA college coaches from all over the country to work at our camps. All of our camps are a great opportunity for exposure to coaches you don't normally meet.

Fun Learning
Fun learning opportunities. Other camps say you'll have fun but it really happens at our camps. Other camps say you'll learn a lot but that really happens at our camps too.

Small Groups, Really
Ever been at a camp where you're in a group and you're one of 20 waiting for the coach to come around? (This is different than being "one in a million"...that's different). It's not the best learning situation.  Our groups have 12 campers max and usually there are 10. Everything we do is structured to help you learn.

Camp Director
UCSB Women's Lacrosse head coach Paul Ramsey has been directing East West Sports Camps for 17 years. The first camp was held in 1992 at UCSB and demand has fueled the growth ever since. Ramsey is in his first year back coaching at UCSB after leaving to be the head coach at Westmont and Holy Cross, assistant coaching at Hofstra University and then, recently, head coaching at Pepperdine University. All of the camps are a great way to meet and interact with the UCSB coaches.

Camp Makes You Better
We have a simple formula. Learn the skills, try the skills, repeat the skills and make the skills fun. It's the repetition that helps with muscle memory. Amazingly players get better in camp sessions than they would if the same instruction were spread out over more time. That's why players get better during camp. It's a fun but intense teaching process.
